Rules will vary depending on the game, as not all games have the same format or play style. Rules for each tournament will be posted on the page for the specific tournament page.
Yes! We have opened up our tournaments to allowing players to use their own equipment should they wish to. We will continue to provide high end gaming equipment to all those who participate as well.
It is allowed and recommended that you should have backup players. For instance if it is a 5-person team tournament, having 6-7 players, so that one or two can substitute in the event 1 or 2 of the main players on the team are unable to arrive or play. The team captain and other members of the team who are able to play that day must speak with the Tournament emcee to make the proper arrangements.
Please message us at contact@huntermgaming.com if you’d like to add backup players to the roster.
No, registration must be made online in advance, either by yourself or as part of a team. Team captains must complete registration and payment before the deadline.
No, our business identity comes from being a local LAN center. We make revenue as customers visit our centers to use our systems and generate sales. This is the core of our business. Please know that we are not an event company running online tournaments.
The prize pool we are offering is much larger than the combined entry fee of all participants in the event. So you may ask why we still hold tournaments. Even though hosting tournaments at our LAN centers is not lucrative, we are always looking for ways to express our appreciation to our regular customers and community. They make our local business stronger financially and are the reason we have been able to run our business continually for over 20 years. Our business has always focused on local, not online. It is our identity. We would happily welcome everyone, but if you don’t feel comfortable visiting local retail stores, we respect your preference. There are many online tournaments being hosted elsewhere.
All of our PCs are all connected to an instant system recovery and restore server. At any time we can restore our machines to a safe and clean status. Before each match, all SSD storage devices will be instantly formatted by the solution. This will ensure that all systems keep a clean status for tournament participants.
All team captains for the event will be added to a captains only scheduling channel in the events Discord. Match scheduling will be done through this channel and it is up to the captains to find the best time and date for both teams. Scheduling is flexible within the tournament window.
Team captains should discuss how the extra player can fairly get playing time with the rest of the team. Backup players could swap in and out between different maps, or matches for example. The goal is to make sure everyone on the team gets a chance to play and have fun!
Our tournaments are open to all, regardless of skill level. Our events are a way for our community to have fun and enjoy friendly competition in a relaxed environment! You do not need to be a pro or any other rank to compete.
